A sunset yacht ride on the Han River to the Banpo Bridge fountain

Small-group yacht tours leave from Yeouido Hanriver Park and sail past Nodeulseom to Banpo Bridge. Book the 7 p.m. slot in summer to catch the sunset and the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain from the water.

Is it for you?

Go forWith only four people on board, the small yacht felt private, and the captain even let guests take the wheel. A glass of beer or wine with truffle crackers is included, and the captain times the trip so you reach Banpo Bridge for the fountain show.
Skip ifYou want a big sightseeing cruise. These are small yachts with a few seats, and you need to book ahead.

Good to know

  • Book the slot around sunset. On the blogger's day sunset was 19:57, so the 7 p.m. tour caught both the sunset and the 19:30 fountain show.
  • For the fountain against a dark sky, choose a tour that reaches Banpo Bridge after 20:00.
  • Fountain times: Jul to Aug 12:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30. Mar to Jun and Sep to Oct 12:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00. Each show runs 20 minutes.
  • The dock is the same place as the Han River swan boats. Go down the stairs into the shopping area and head to the far right.
  • You fill in a boarding form with your personal details before departure.
