Is it for you?
Go forThe garlic baguette is soaked through with a sweet garlic filling, softer and richer than the usual crisp kind. The Korean-style breads are cheap and filling, like a mugwort rice cake bread with nuts and a red bean bread rolled in injeolmi powder.
Skip ifYou want to sit down with your bread. There is no seating, and the shop is a narrow single line from the door to the counter.
Good to know
- Warm the garlic baguette before eating: 5 minutes at 180°C in an air fryer, or on a pan over low heat. It tastes very different cold.
- Five breads stay behind the counter: garlic baguette, onion bagel, basil tomato, cucumber baguette and cappuccino. Tell staff how many you want. There is an English sign for this.
- No seating inside. Buy one drink at the nearby Ediya cafe and you can eat Mandong bread there.
- Go in the morning for the full lineup. At 5 p.m. on a weekday many breads were still left.
- Weekday pickup can be booked on Naver (not weekends or holidays).
