Rumeg is a small standalone cafe-bar between Seoul Station and Chungjeongno Station, with a turntable spinning vinyl, vintage lamps and art on the walls. Come for coffee by day or a drink at night, and try the thick deep chocolate.

Is it for you?

Go forA carefully styled room with records, a monthly playlist and soft lighting. The deep chocolate was rich rather than watery, drinks come with square ice and a coaster, and the staff were very friendly.
Skip ifYou need lots of seats or space for a big group. It is a small single room, and the Americano was simply decent.

  • Takeout is ₩1,000 off. Almond milk is ₩1,000 extra.
  • In the evening it turns into a bar with wine, whisky and small bites.

It's a hidden gem near Seoul Station. I loved this place so much that I visited almost every day during my trip to Seoul. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak English, so communication was never an issue. One thing worth mentioning is that you can also order alcoholic drinks during the day!
