Vienna coffee and tomato toast in a book-filled Seochon cafe

Self-paid. The blogger paid for this visit.

A quiet vintage cafe a few minutes from Gyeongbokgung Station, filled with old books, worn wooden furniture and paper lampshades. Come for the Vienna coffee and the tomato marinade toast, then stay a while with a book.

공간도 좋고 음악도 좋고, 응대해주시는 분도 정말 친절하셔서 어느 순간 속으로 ‘여기는 다시 와야겠다’ 싶었어요.

Good space, good music, and the staff were so kind that at some point I thought, okay, I'm coming back here.

Is it for you?

Go forThe room itself: shelves of old books, mismatched vintage furniture and paper lampshades that keep the light soft and warm. The blogger came for the space but was surprised by the tomato marinade, fresh and tangy with a little sweetness, on crisp toast. The Vienna coffee is a latte topped with handmade cream.
Skip ifYou want a bright cafe for laptop work or a loud catch-up. It is a calm, softly lit room that suits reading or a quiet chat better.

Good to know

  • The bread that comes with the tomato toast can be refilled. Add sour cream and fig jam for ₩2,000.
  • Sip the Vienna coffee before stirring, then mix in the cream little by little.
  • Open every day, 10:30 to 22:00.
  • Bring a book. It suits slow reading more than laptop work.
  • There is no parking at the cafe. Use the paid lot next door.
