Pork-packed kimchi stew in a Namdaemun Market alley

Self-paid. The blogger paid for this visit.

A small, old-school Korean restaurant tucked into an alley of Namdaemun Market, near Hoehyeon Station. Go for generous kimchi stew, spicy stir-fried squid, and duruchigi, each around ₩10,000 with plenty of side dishes.

1인분씩 주문했을 뿐인데 고기도 듬뿍, 오징어도 푸짐하게

We ordered one portion each. Still loads of pork, loads of squid.

Is it for you?

Go forThe kimchi stew has far more thick pork than usual, with kimchi that still has some crunch and a deep, spicy broth. The stir-fried squid is piled high with fresh squid and vegetables. Duruchigi is even meatier, with less broth and a richer sauce. The side dishes are generous and the staff are warm.
