An easy 45-minute climb to Yongmabong for views over eastern Seoul

Self-paid. The blogger paid for this visit.

A short beginner hike from Yongmasan Station up stone paths and wooden stairs to Yongmabong, the summit of Yongmasan. Dodo reached the top in about 45 minutes, with wide city views and Lotte World Tower in the distance.

전체적으로 코스가 짧고 길도 잘 되어 있어서 부담 없이 다녀오기 좋았습니다.

The course was short and well marked, so it was an easy outing.

Good to know

  • From Exit 2, turn back and walk straight. Turn left up the alley at Hana Mart, keep left at the fork, and follow signs toward Yongma Falls Park to reach the trail.
  • Dodo left the station at 7:35, reached the summit at 8:20 and was back by 9:05.
  • Sneakers are fine, but hiking shoes help on the stony sections.
  • Vendors at the summit sell cup ramen, makgeolli, boiled eggs and ice cream.
  • The ridge continues to Achasan if you want a longer hike.
