A long-running Korean restaurant in Nonhyeon-dong, always busy, known for moist boiled beef (suyuk) and a clean anchovy noodle soup. The blogger is a regular. On this visit the suyuk sold out, so try to come early.

Go forOld-school Seoul comfort food done well: suyuk with good kimchi, spicy stir-fried octopus, and a warm bowl of kalguksu.

Skip ifYou are on a budget or come late. Prices are on the high side, and the suyuk can sell out.

Good to know

Come early. The famous suyuk can run out.
Leave your number at the door and they will call you when a table opens.
Top the kalguksu with some of the spicy octopus.
