Is it for you?
Go forThe old eaves and wooden beams are kept, and you can still see the inn's kitchen with its iron cauldron. Tables are well spaced, so it is easy to talk, and there is an attic-like nook further in. Order a pot of tea and you brew it yourself at the table. The hojicha einspanner is bitter, smooth and nutty, and the lemon myrtle matcha soda is bright and fizzy. Staff explain each drink and dessert when they bring it.
Skip ifYou want a quick coffee. This is a tea house, and there is often a wait on weekends.
Good to know
- From Exit 6, walk into the alley and take the narrow lane to the left of the Saemaeul Geumgo bank. It looks like a row of old inns, and that is the right way.
- Weekends get busy. Check the wait on the Tabling app, or sign up on the tablet at the door. At about 18:00 on a weekend, 2 groups ahead took under 5 minutes.
- The brownies are chewy like rice cake and not too sweet, so they work as a light snack.
- No break time. No parking.
